AMERICAN ARTISTS PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE ANNOUNCES
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS ARTIST RECEIVES AWARD IN NATIONAL EXHIBITION

NEW YORK, November 2 - The American Artists Professional League (AAPL), a leading national organization dedicated to recognizing, encouraging and promoting traditional, representational art, today
announced the award winners of its 80th Grand National Exhibition.

Irene Bailey of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey has been selected to receive the John Collins Memorial Award for her oil painting entitled "The Trumpet Player." Her work was selected from 98 oil
paintings in the competition. The award was presented to Ms. Bailey by AAPL President Konrad Hansalik at the AAPL's annual meeting and awards reception held in New York City on November 2, 2008.

The non-profit AAPL has been devoted to the cause of fine arts in America for 80 years. Each year, the organization hosts its Grand National Exhibition, a show that highlights major and emerging
professional artists in all media. Entries are accepted from all 50 states and judged by a selection committee consisting of professional artists.

This year, the American Artists Professional League's 80th Grand National Exhibition highlights the achievements of 185 artists. The paintings and sculptures are on display through November 7, 2008.
The AAPL, with approximately 1,000 members nationwide, is headquartered at the Salmagundi Club Galleries, 47 Fifth Avenue, New York, New York 10003.
