As
we walk into Ray Elmore’s office, we see him turning
on his stool,
removing his glasses and greeting us with a warm smile.
Like many art teachers, he is surrounded with many still-life
objects
used in his classes. His desk displays prints of artists
he admires,
as well as family members. All of the objects in the painting
are meaningful to him and reflect his personality. The
trash can is a significant image in the art building.
